PORTO ZORO is one of the most spectacular beaches on the peninsula and also one of the hardest to find. The main road soon gives out and you have to abandon the car and trek on foot - though you may be able to get a vehicle down a rough track off the main road by following the splendidly marked signpost 'Beach with Rocks and Flowers' The beach is simply stunning. A small and perfectly formed crescent of deep sand with a couple of tavernas, a bar and a few rooms to let. A clutch of attractive rocks litter the headland to provide shelter. Recently 'discovered' it is a place you will have to share with many others as more sun beds cram the shoreline

The most remarkable characteristics of the beach are that the sea is usually calm with crystal clear blue water. Also, Porto Zoro is usually peaceful with few people on the beach. Some rooms to let are available for accommodation for the fans of calmness and holidays closer to nature, but not far away from the interesting places and sightseeing of Zante island. A few taverns offer good food and fresh fish, along with a nice view of the sea and the beautiful rocks emerging from the water. In case of health problems you may address to the Health Services of the town of Zante (some 13 kilometers far away).
Access from the capital Zakynthos is easy by taxi, rented or private car and motorbikes. It will take you some 20 minutes to arrive here from the town of Zakynthos and about half an hour from the airport.
