There is regular, frequent bus service to the town of
Zakynthos. One can also easily rent a car, jeep, bike or bicycle. There is a taxi station on the main road very close to the sea. All along and around the main road there are numerous taverns and restaurants, where the visitor may select from extensive menus, not only from the greek cuisine but also from the english, chinese. There are also several fast-foods. Some of the restaurants and the also offer you the experience of singing and dancing with traditional greek music!
No more than five minutes of walking will take you from the center of
Argasi to the sea. Argasi beach is not very wide, but it is long, with fine sand. Water sports are allowed and there are also showers, umbrellas and sunbeds for rent, paragliders, sea-skiing, ringos and sea-bikes. Most of the shops are located along the main street, and include many supermarkets, bakeries, leatherwear shops, gift-shops and jeweleries.
Argasi is a hot spot for nightlife, as it is located very close to the town of Zante and has a lot of clubs and bars for all music tastes. There are many “english-style” clubs and pubs, playing the last dance-hits. Karaoke, quiz nights and live, wide-screen TV coverage of athletic events via satellite will keep everyone happy!
